Job Card Planning
The Job Card Planning module provides a visual and interactive interface for scheduling production tasks across different production lines and shifts.

It allows planners to organize manufacturing activities efficiently by assigning job cards to operations, time slots, and shifts.
Key Concepts
Scheduler Grid
The Scheduler Grid is the main interface used for planning production activities.
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| Columns | Represent different Operations (stages) in the production process |
| Rows | Represent Time, displayed in a 24-hour vertical timeline |
| Date Column | Sticky column on the left that shows the target planning date |
| Shift Column | Displays the active shifts configured for each day |
This grid helps planners visually organize production schedules.
How to Use
1. Selecting a Production Line
Use the Production Line dropdown in the top-left corner to select the line you want to plan for.
Once selected:
- The scheduler grid automatically updates.
- The system loads the operations and shifts configured for that production line.
2. Planning Batches
Click the Batch Planning button to open the batch planning form.
In this form you can:
- Select a Production Order
- Choose the required Batch
After selecting the batch:
- Click Generate Batches
- The system will automatically create job cards for all operations in the batch
These job cards are generated based on the pre-configured cycle times defined in the system.
3. Manual Planning
Users can also manually create job cards for specific operations.
Steps:
- Click the "+" icon in the header of the required operation column.
- Enter the necessary details.
- The job card will be added to the scheduler grid.
This option allows planners to schedule tasks manually when required.
4. Interactive Adjustments
The scheduler allows users to interact with job cards directly in the planning grid.
Drag and Drop
- Click and hold a job card
- Move it to another time slot
The scheduler is Shift-Aware, meaning it automatically suggests valid start times according to shift schedules.
Resizing
- Drag the bottom handle of a job card
- This increases or decreases the duration of the job

Auto-Splitting
If a job card crosses a shift boundary (for example from Morning Shift to Afternoon Shift):
- The system will automatically split the job card
- Each segment will be assigned to the corresponding shift
This ensures that job scheduling remains aligned with defined shift timings.
5. Multi-Select Actions
Multiple job cards can be selected for bulk actions.
Steps:
- Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac)
- Click on multiple job cards
A floating action bar will appear with the following options:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Parallelize | Align all selected job cards to start at the same time |
| Delete | Remove the selected job cards from the planning schedule |
6. Saving Changes
Job card planning works in Draft Mode.
- All changes are temporarily saved locally
- Undo / Redo actions are supported
Once planning is complete:
- Click Save Job Cards
- The planned job cards will be committed to the system.
Always ensure that a Location is selected in the main application session before starting the Job Card Planning process.
