Location Receive

The Location Receive module is used to confirm and record the receipt of stock that has been transferred from one warehouse or location to another. It ensures that inventory movement is traceable and verifiable at both ends — from dispatch to receipt. Alt text for the image


Purpose

This module finalizes the stock transfer process. Once stock is dispatched from a source location via Stock Transfer, it must be acknowledged and received at the destination location using this screen.


Displayed Fields

The main list page of Location Receive displays all incoming transfers with the following details:

Receiving Process

Step 1: View Incoming Transfers

  • Navigate to the Location Receive screen.
  • Locate the stock transfers that are assigned to your current location and have not yet been marked as received.

Step 2: Review Details

  • Click on an entry under the Action column to view the full transfer details.
  • Verify that the transferred items match the expected quantities and item names.

Step 3: Confirm Receipt

  • If all details are correct, you can mark the transfer as received.
  • Upon confirmation:
    • The inventory is updated at the receiving location.
    • The transfer status is changed to Received.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • You cannot receive stock until it has been dispatched from the source location via Stock Transfer.
  • All transfers must be acknowledged promptly to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Only users with proper access can confirm the receipt of stock.
  • Transfers that are not received will remain in the Pending state and may delay downstream processes.
