Admin Role Introduction

The Admin role is responsible for setting up and managing important parts of the system. Admins make sure the platform is ready to use by managing master data, configuring users and permissions, and handling integrations.

1. Master Modules

Admins manage the core data that the rest of the system depends on. These include:

🔹 Division

  • Create and manage company divisions (e.g., regions or business units).

🔹 Location

  • Add locations and assign them to a division.
  • Enter details like name, code, latitude, longitude, type, and more.

🔹 Item Category

  • Group items into categories for better organization.

🔹 Item

  • Add new items using forms or Excel import.
  • Link items to categories, divisions, and units of measure.
  • Optional: Add attributes, properties, and descriptions.

🔹 UOM (Unit of Measure)

  • Define units such as "KG", "Piece", or "Litre" with a name, code, and status.

🔹 Item Template

  • Create reusable templates that group attributes and properties.
  • Makes it faster to create similar items.

2. Settings

These features help control who can access what and how the system behaves.

🔹 Role

  • Create different roles (e.g., Admin, Manager, Staff).
  • Assign permissions based on the role's responsibilities.

🔹 User Master

  • Add users with name, email, mobile number, project, and location.
  • Assign roles and managers to users.

🔹 User Permission

  • Select a project and role.
  • Use "Get Permission" to load settings.
  • Choose which parts of the system the role can access (e.g., view, create, edit, delete).

🔹 SMTP

  • Set up email configuration so the system can send alerts and messages.

3. Integration

🔹 ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)

  • Connect external data sources.
  • Automate the import of data into the system for syncing or reporting.

Summary

The Admin role is mainly responsible for:

  • Setting up all base (master) data like division, item, and location.
  • Managing user accounts, roles, and permissions.
  • Configuring email and system integrations.

Admins make sure everything is correctly set up so that the organization can use the platform without issues.
