IoT Introduction
IoT Introduction
The Internet of Things (IoT) module provides a centralized platform for managing connected devices, machines, and operational data. It enables organizations to monitor assets, configure devices, and collect data from connected equipment in a structured and efficient manner.
The module helps users organize IoT resources, manage device configurations, and ensure reliable data communication between physical devices and the application.
IoT Module Structure
The IoT module consists of the following components:
Dashboard
The Dashboard provides an overview of IoT activities and device-related information. It allows users to monitor system status and access key operational data from a single location.
Masters
The Masters section contains the core configurations required to set up and manage the IoT environment.
Division
Used to create and manage organizational divisions within the system.
Location
Used to define and maintain locations where devices and machines are deployed.
Asset / Machine
Used to manage machine and asset information that is monitored through the IoT platform.
Machine Configuration
Used to configure machine-specific parameters and communication settings.
Data Point Template
Used to define reusable templates for collecting and organizing machine and device data.
Device Model
Used to create and manage standard device model definitions.
Product Device
Used to associate devices with specific products and maintain product-device mappings.
Device
Used to register, configure, and manage individual IoT devices.
Data Flow Service
The Data Flow Service manages the communication and movement of data between connected devices and the application. It ensures that device data is collected and processed for monitoring and operational purposes.
