Asset / Machine

The Asset / Machine page is used to manage and monitor assets or machines that are connected to the IoT platform. It provides a centralized view of all registered assets along with their key information and operational status.

Users can create, view, and manage assets to ensure proper device integration and data collection.

Asset List

The Asset / Machine page displays a list of all configured assets in a tabular format.

The following information is available for each asset:

ColumnDescription
ImageDisplays the image associated with the asset or machine.
NameName of the asset or machine.
CodeUnique code used to identify the asset.
LocationLocation where the asset is deployed.
Asset ModelModel associated with the asset or machine.
Commissioned DateDate on which the asset was commissioned or put into operation.
StatusIndicates the current status of the asset.
ActionProvides additional actions for the selected asset.

Status

The Status column indicates the operational state of the asset.

Possible statuses include:

  • Active – Asset is available and operational.
  • Inactive – Asset is currently not in use.

View Asset Details

The Action column contains a View (Eye) icon.

Clicking the View icon opens the asset details page, where users can view information associated with the selected asset.

Mapped Data Points

Within the Asset Details view, users can access the list of data points mapped to the selected asset.

The mapped data points provide information about the parameters being collected and monitored from the asset.

Typical information may include:

FieldDescription
Data Point NameName of the mapped data point.
Data TypeType of data being collected.
UnitMeasurement unit associated with the data point.
DescriptionBrief description of the data point.
StatusIndicates whether the data point is active.

This information helps users understand which parameters are configured for monitoring and data collection from the selected asset.

Benefits

The Asset / Machine page helps users:

  • Maintain a centralized repository of assets and machines.
  • Track asset information and deployment details.
  • Monitor asset status and availability.
  • View data points associated with each asset.
  • Improve visibility into machine-level IoT configurations.

The Asset / Machine module serves as the foundation for managing connected equipment and the data collected from them within the IoT platform.
